How do I verify an overseas university or course?
Use the institution's official site and relevant national recognition or accreditation sources. Confirm that the exact campus, course and qualification are covered.
A useful next step
Ask the admissions office for a written link to the course's recognition and curriculum.
For example
A student should verify a specialized clinical program separately from the university name.
One question people ask next
Does a university ranking prove recognition?
No; recognition and ranking answer different questions.
Your quick check
- Read official program requirements
- Budget the entire course
- Verify current visa and funding rules
Keep in mind
An agent's brochure is not enough evidence.
Use this answer as a starting point. Your subjects, finances, interests and local opportunities can change the best next step. For admission, eligibility, licensing or immigration decisions, always check the responsible institution's current official information.
